Testimonials

Morning William... I wanted to say again that I really enjoyed the session and was thoroughly enthused after it, so many, many thanks for that William ‘magic’!.. OK a few thoughts..... The workshop emphasis was very effective (ie. 1st half on mindsets / behaviour, 2nd half on practicalities). I think it’s fair to say that most people came along primarily for the former (getting enthused being a common theme), but I think most people got a lot out of the latter, so, I’d keep that format! The 2nd half was particularly effective when you got into the upstream / downstream expansion of product and service offerings. You could see people really starting to think about their own businesses and things they could do. Personally I think that that’s a significant area given the current recessionary times and many businesses would value that sort of expansion in their thinking.

“William is an excellent and engaging tutor. His course was well planned and beautifully presented. He managed to include everyone quickly and easily in the discussions so that we all got a great deal more out of it. I learned some simple NLP techniques that will prove invaluable as well as picking up tips and ideas from my fellow students. William is so positive and enthusiastic that is impossible not to be infected and affected by him! I would highly recommend his courses and will be doing just that to my fellow business colleagues as soon as I can”

Hi William.. Thank you so much for the wonderful evening on Wednesday, Growing through a Recession. I thoroughly enjoyed, once again, your usual inimitable style, energy and passion that shine through in your sessions. It was just what I needed to gain the insight to make me move on again! Not quite sure where to yet, but there is certainly change "a foot"! One area I was thinking about is becoming the Expert as you mentioned. I have been thinking of gaining more knowledge and understanding of the skin care products that I use and their benefits to the skin. Much more so the chemicals that people use and the damage they can do. Then go and do public speaking!!!
Take care

“William is an inspiration to me. His imagination and positivity are matched only by his work ethic and experience in business. His personable nature instantly puts you at ease, and his ability to remember who you are and what you do despite all the people he must meet on a day to day basis makes everyone feel instantly welcome. Small businesses that are feeling downtrodden or stuck in a rut need only spend an hour with William to feel revitalized and more hopeful about the future. I would highly recommend his workshops to everybody.
Thank you William for all your advice and support, ChaiChai would not be the same without you.”

"William is simply wonderful and has provided me with excellent personal coaching and mentoring for the last six years. He was particularly valueable supporting me as CEO whilst i reshaped the strategy for the company and developed a strong Board and senior management team to take forward its implementation."

Hi William..
I’ve now had the whole of the weekend to reflect on our meeting and I can’t adequately convey how helpful it was. I now feel more relaxed and comfortable with my feelings and, even, anxiety about coaching. Your words of encouragement and experiences were invaluable and I now feel more confident about taking the first step.
I also found it very reassuring listening to your early experiences and marveled at how they mirrored my own fears and anxieties. Moreover, your keenness to offer value and speed where necessary chimed with my own ambitions as to the type and level of service I want to offer.
I’ve started to read about transactional analysis and intend to get the book you recommended. Your offer of a workable structure upon meeting a client really met my needs as I was concerned about not knowing what to ask.
Once again many thanks. My learning in this field has only just begun and I know the journey will be a long one, but through your kind words and practical solutions at least I now feel I know the direction I want to go. Speak soon.
Best wishes,

Dear William..
It was so lovely to meet you last week. Thank you. I found our meeting so insightful.
You were truly perceptive and I was just so impressed on how you managed to understand my business, my issues and me as a person within the first 20 minutes of our meeting.

William
I really appreciated the time you spent with me preparing for my interview this week. It helped me to put my own career to date into perspective and to iron out one or two things I was worrying about unnecessarily.
The time you spent with me was most useful, as I was able to highlight the key strengths we identified and to answer questions easily at the interview.
You have a real gift in this area of coaching and William and if you're not already think you should be very rich and famous are exploiting it!

Recent years have seen a huge growth in the number of people offering their services as coaches and because they all use the same sort of language to describe what they do, it’s very difficult to tell them apart. It’s a bit like trying to buy a car by talking to the sales staff, but all the cars are out of view - locked away in the garage. We have to try and second guess whether the car on sale is really a Rolls Royce, or whether it’s a clapped out old jalopy!
William Barron is that rare thing among coaches – the genuine article, the real Rolls Royce. True he’s done the training, and has the experience of a life time; but the quality of his coaching comes from the way in which he combines these with his own personality and insights.
Time spent with William is never wasted, and always full of helpful surprises.
Best wishes

Dear William
Just a few lines to thank you for our session yesterday. The laughter was as good therapy as anything – although in truth it went much deeper than that. Today I woke feeling motivated and re-focussed – and aware of a possibility around 'grey' – and what this might bring. A potential for doing things differently. My 'black and white' has served me well in many respects – but does not always serve me well.
A block to other possibilities – and probably, dare I say it, linked to pride and perceived failure and what this means for me. Again – thank you for the insight. It feels liberating.
Have good week and thanks again.
Best wishes

Hi William
Just a quick note to say thanks for all your input and energy over the last 8 weeks. Each week i have really looked forward to attending the sessions and taken away lots from each one.
I am sure I also speak on behalf of the others in the group but your input and enthusiam has created a great amount of enthusiam and 'the want' to make our little ideas into bigger, succesful ones.
Thanks again for all your efforts

Hi William,
Arsalan and I really would like to be there for mince pies today. We will try our best however both of us have terrible fevers so I don't think we will be able to stay very long.
However I just wanted to say we really appreciate everything you have done for our business this year. I personally have learn so much at the BEW and our business wouldn't have been as far down the line without all your support.

Hi William,
It was great to meet you the other day. You were very perceptive to how I was feeling, our chat made me realise that if I don’t take control of the situation I will probably feel this way for most of my life. I thank you for your support and kindness it is the first time I have felt that someone understands me and will be able to offer me guidance in finding a solution…..….. The affirmations have been a great help. Repeating them every day has really worked and I already feel more confident and at ease with myself.
I think the coaching would be a great idea for when I return from my trip. I feel it would be more beneficial then as my head would be clearer and I will have a better idea of what I wish to do with my life. At that stage help with implementing those ideas will be invaluable. I will keep you updated on how things are going and look forward to when we meet again.
A thousand thank you’s

Hi William
Anyway I guess it is really thanks to you why I am more relaxed as I don't know what you do but you just seem to understand exactly how i am feeling and have the answers to situations that happen in life (hope this makes sense) not many men can understand women but you remind me of Mel Gibson in What A Woman Wants and if you have not seen it watch it because you will understand what I mean(and thats a compliment).
Your're a good man, and I am glad to know you.
Anyway you have a good weekend I am off to do my daily yoga routine and maybe take the children to the Godiva festival in Coventry later so you have a nice weekend and I will see you next week.

To whom it may concern
The sessions we had with William helped us look at the bigger picture, be more aware of our goals and the routes to reach them, the knowledge and contacts that he was willing to impart was vast and very useful. He encouraged us to open our minds to change when we had to and when times we’re tough his help and guidance were invaluable.
Thank you William, your expertise has made the journey easier and much more pleasurable.

Thank you for another inspirational session of mentoring.
As discussed could you please send me the list of auditive, visual, kinesthetic and digital lists of words?
I have also enclosed the mindmap you have asked me earlier. Of course your contact needs to amend it to his need.

Thank you so much William, I took notes of what you said after you had left on Saturday and it just struck me that a lot of what you said made so much sense and I finally recognise that fear which has prevented me from doing things. You are right, I have to honour myself and do this.
Thank you so much for a thoroughly fab time.

Hello William,
Thank you so much for spending time with me to help me discover my potential in life and work. Your wisdom, perception and encouragement are inspirational.
After our last meeting my mind has been working overtime, so much so I'm getting brain ache and finding it hard to switch off!
I have thought a great deal about the options that we discussed and reached several conclusions………

Being the Managing Director of your own business can often be a thankless and lonely job, however working with William provides me with the forum to articulate my ideas and his contribution encourages me to focus and reaffirm my thoughts. With his vast knowledge and proficiency in an abundance of areas, he often aids in developing my ideas in such a way that would be unattainable on my own.
By acting as a calming influence and building my self confidence with every conversation, William offers a level of direction and focus that enables me to see things more clearly and make the correct decisions for my business quicker and with more efficiency.
One of my greatest strengths is my development of ideas but I often struggle with their implementation. This is the area within which William compliments my style most effectively, as he offers practical and realistic suggestions for implementation and reiterates information in a focussed and sensible manner enabling me to progress with greater enthusiasm and concentration.

For whom it may concern:
I was invited to attend a coaching session with William yesterday. Before the session I had no preconceived ideas and really quite low expectations but attended the session with an open mind. I could not have believed the that in approximately one and a half hours, what I thought was the way forward for me had been turned completely upside down. I had spent some years reading, listening to tapes of some of the top gurus of the world looking for an answer to 'life the universe and everything'.
I now realise that the answer was not going to come from the study but was the study.
Robert Pino says in his programme 'The Power of Chi', 'If you ask your self a question, you already know the answer'. It took the skill of William to guide me through to that answer.
I can recommend William to anyone who wishes to make the most of the talents they already have and a guide to their future.
If anyone would like to use the above information or would like to contact me about this I will be quite happy.
Best regards

Hi William,
Thanks for our session -- there can never be too much of that, although thank goodness for the tea to keep us going through it all!! I got so much out of it -- so much to think about, which stays with me, but also some real internal progress of the "wriggling seeds" kind. Lots of wriggling going on, not long now till summer...!
All the best,

Dear William
Thank you so much for the session at Visionworks.
So few people actually take the care to understand about another person. You worked very skillfully and managed to reveal to me things that I will keep in mind and work through. I will not procrastinate after this e-mail! Focus, that's the thing....
I appreciate your sensitive and wise approach
Wishing you a Happy Easter

Dear William
Thank you for yesterday. It was the best use of two hours I have ever experienced. I know I don't listen but what I did hear made wonderful sense. (I wonder what I missed) …
I'm beginning to look forward to this new journey.

Dear William,
I find our talks intellectually stimulating, amazed at new pieces of information about life and business, and brain function and thought processes. I find it interesting to talk about myself as I’m such a interesting person- that talking about myself from a perspective is interesting. I’m not being big headed, I just mean that I’m an interesting specimen of a person.
I find you talking about parallels, experiences and character traits of your other clients very useful.
I find your knowledge of business very useful.
I find the books you recommend/ send fantastic. I wonder to myself why every business support agency doesn’t tell me about these books. Put them in my hand etc. And they don’t because they don’t read them- because ,most are not genuinely interested in business or people like you. Because most people are almost anti- intellectual in their outlook and get annoyed if you start referencing a book in conversation.
What you show, teach, lead me through and I absorb – ripples on to everyone around me. Because when I understand something really good that would benefit others I tried to go out of my way to share it with them. So your energies spread wider. Unfortunately this doesn’t mean you make any more money. Maybe- that should be brainstormed - I’ve just thought of three possible avenues in a few seconds.
I find your visualizations useful as I remember them- ie burning match thought, and earlier about two people playing tennis to separate rules.
I find your altruism in talking to me amazing. As I have with all the people who have worked with me one to one. It’s great that you want to spend you limited time on this planet engaging with me. And I guess it’s a also a compliment that I want to spend my time with you. I hadn’t thought of it that way. I guess I always feel as though I want to give back directly to those that give to me, but guess sometimes you can only give forward. Because loads of people must have given their time in talking to you one to one, and all the writers of the books you read decided to learn that information and then communicate it. So it’s all interconnections of people that don’t; meet- but are felt and helped by one another across generations, conversations, places, and peoples.
Have a great Christmas (2004)

William’s coaching is branded under the strap line “Creating Insight”.
As far as I was concerned William’s work embodied the “Ronseal factor” – in other words, “it does what it says on the tin!”.
In a remarkably small number of non-intrusive, perceptive sessions, William definitely helped me grow self awareness and provided me with a substantial spring-board for work and home life. As a result, I have been able to substantially increase my contribution and have enjoyed the positive response which I have received from others.

William,
Thank you so much for taking the time today to talk to me about corporate coaching,it was very much appreciated.
Also, what a fantastic experience talking to such an excellent coach. I realise I have a lot to learn, and talking to you has inspired me to stick at it and keep on reading as much as I can to improve my skills.

I always found the coaching sessions extremely interesting and inspiring, and came away with plenty of useful ideas for implementation in the business. I think an important part of the coaching is the therapeutic benefit of being able to share one’s stresses and strains with an objective observer who has no vested interest in the organisation you are in.
Also, as MD I found that I had no peer group, and it would have been all the more lonelier at the top without you to bounce ideas off!

I want to thank for taking the time to meet with me. I found it incredibly interesting - as well as useful! I think you are excellent at what you do (and I only got a sample) and I found you quite an inspiration.
I do hope you wont mind me contacting you again if I have any further
queries.
Many thanks once again.

Working with William has helped me take a broader view of the issues effecting my business, and I have developed with his advice new approaches to tackling work based problems. A very rewarding experience.

William
Anyone wondering what coaching is all about just needs to realise that it's about helping people to identify (and learn to focus on) their strengths to achieve their goals.
A number of people at our company have worked with you now (on their time management), and it's much more successful than sending folk on a classroom-style training course that's for sure! If some of our less organised people had gone on a 'how to get organised' training course, I'm sure they'd still be beating themself up about how disorganised they are and berating themself for not being like 'the perfect people'. Well, tosh!
By identifying peoples' attitudes and behavioural styles, you have taught them how to achieve their objectives in their own unique way. We have happier, more productive, staff and you have played an important part in that.
Thank you for your unfailingly optimistic attitude and we wish you all success.
Kind Regards

The process set the neurones fizzing. You suggested to me that I should try and think about specific issues we could discuss so that the sessions have some structure and I can take away from them something that moves the business and my personal development forward.

Perhaps most importantly, William has taken an objective view of the many challenges we have faced and has prompted me to find ways of addressing those challenges that I would not otherwise have found. William's enthusiasm for what we have been trying to achieve is infectious and every session has helped to keep our objectives in focus and brought us closer to reaching those objectives.
